WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Sheppard would make a good addition to our team, however it depends on what we would have to give up in order to aquire him. Last year when Lito Sheppard was out when the eagles played the cowboys the first time T.O. had 11 catches for 175 and a touch, when they met again Sheppard shut him down. He is more of a man to man corner but would be that much more dangerous in our tampa 2 scheme.

Yes. Are secondary is gonna get chewed up next year with Buchanon back there. Sheppard is young and talented. He would be a great fit in our system and could sure up that position for the next 4-5 years. Rhonde Barber is getting old and won’t be here forever. It would be nice to have the other side of the field covered when he retires. Plus, what if Barber gets hurt next year? We have very little depth in our secondary. This trade makes so much sense it is scray. We could get him for a 3rd rounder this year, and a 5th next year. PleasePLEASEPUHLEASE!!! make this happen.

In other news, Jeremy Shockey, Roy Willaims, Aquan Boldin, and Chad Johnson are all trying to be traded. I would give our 1st rounder for any of those guys.

I’ve been waiting for three weeks now to hear the Bucs have acquired shepard which they could likely get for a 4th round pick maybe a 3rd, which is acceptable.  That secondary needs help at corner and bad, but the cover 2 scheme doesn’t call for 1st round talent at the corner position, just good instincts.

I would NOT give more than a 3rd round pick and that’s it.  His #’s are OK but far from great.  Potential to be great?  Sure, but no more potential than any of the top CB prospects in this draft.  Honestly, I would rather Tampa drafts one of those guys in the 1st than make that trade.

I never feel like we have anything to offer teams to receive anyone of importance. Nothing we want to part with, at least. SO the only option is draft picks-and I don’t really want to give any up. I like Lito and if we can find another way to get him, that’s great, but the younger top tier CB in the draft are better to fit the mold of a Ronde Barber type icon. Keep our picks, if anything, acquire MORE. I want a franchise CB, a Franchise QB, and a Franchise Receiver in this draft.

Before the draft, I wanted either Lito Sheppard or Anquan Boldin.  Now that we have Talib, I still want Boldin.  GO BUCS!

Lito’s only problem in Philly has been staying on the field. He has missed a lot of time due to injury. That, and the fact that he is unhappy with his contract, is what made the Eagles front office decide to get Asante Samuel and thus to make Sheppard expendable.

The funny thing is, Sheppard is likely to end up in New England, so the teams may wind up “trading” cornerbacks and paying their new acquisitions more money anyway.
