Instead of a typical slap on the wrist / misdemeanor for this brutal crime, authorities should pursue felony animal cruelty charges and lock this sick !@#% up for a long time. He is clearly a risk to other living creatures, and there is a clear link of violence against animals and violence against humans. If it were legally possible, he should get the same treatment he gave these poor cats!

EVERYONE PLEASE READ THIS POSTING
EVERYONE PLEASE READ THIS POSTING
EVERYONE PLEASE READ THIS POSTING!!!!

THE CAT ON THE TBO ARTICLE’S PAGE CONCERNING THE BURNED CATS WAS MINE. SKEETER WAS A BELOVED MEMBER OF OUR FAMILY BEFORE THAT THIS DISGUSTING MAN (IF YOU CAN CALL HIM THAT, REAL MEN DONT TRAP AND KILL HELPLESS CREATURES) KILLED HIM LATE LAST NIGHT. SKEETER WAS MY FAMILY’S CAT AND WE ARE GREIVING OUR LOSS, BUT THIS IS GREATER THAN OUR BELOVED CAT. THE LOSS OF ANY MEMBER OF ONE’S FAMILY IS PAINFUL AND IN THIS CASE EXTREMELY PREMATURE; SKEETER WAS ONLY EIGHT MONTHS YOUNG. BUT AS I SAID, THIS IS GREATER THAN SKEETER OR MY NEIGHBOR’S TWO CATS (WHOM THIS MONSTER TORTURED AND KILLED). ITS ABOUT THE BIGGER PICTURE; SKEETER ISNT AROUND TO AFFECT THE WORLD, BUT THESE TWO MONSTERS ARE. YES, TWO.

THE LIVE-IN GIRLFRIEND OF THIS MONSTER WAS HOME WHEN ALL OF THIS HAPPENED LAST NIGHT. THE ANIMALS SCREAMS WERE SO LOUD WE COULD HEAR IT ACROSS THE STREET; THERE IS NO WAY SHE COULD IGNORE IT, EVEN IF SHE WERE ON THE INSIDE OF HER HOME. I DONT KNOW WETHER OR NOT SHE WAS HOLDING THE PROPANE, BUT AT THE VERY LEAST, I DO KNOW THAT SHE WAS HOME. AND AWARE. YOU MAY ASK YOURSELF WHAT KIND OF PERSON COULD BE PRESENT FOR THIS, AND THE ANSWER WILL SHOCK YOU:

SHE MAY BE TEACHING YOUR CHILDREN. I HAVE LEARNED, THOUGH NOT CONFIRMED THAT THIS WOMAN IS A SCHOOL TEACHER, PERHAPS IN THE RIVERVIEW AREA. I BELIEVE HER NAME IS LAURA SIMPSON OR SIMSON. I AM NOT SURE OF THIS, AS THESE NEIGHBORS WERE CERTAINLY NOT ANY THAT YOU WOULD INVITE OVER FOR COFFEE.

IS THIS THE TYPE OF PERSON WE SHOULD BE PAYING TO “TEACH” OUR CHILDREN? NO, ITS THE TYPE OF PERSON WE SHOULD TAX FOR BREATHING. AGAIN, IVE BEEN TRYING TO CONFIRM HER OCCUPATION, FEARING THAT THIS IS THE TRUTH, AND IVE NOT YET CONFIRMED IT. I AM NOT PATICULARLY COMPUTER SAVVY, SO IF ANY OF YOU READING THIS CAN HELP ME SO THAT I MAY CONTACT THE PROPER SCHOOL OFFICIALS, PLEASE DO. I APPEAL TO YOUR SENSE OF HUMANITY; IT MAY BEGIN AT HELPLESS KITTENS, BUT WHEN DOES IT BECOME CHILDREN? SOMEONE LIKE THIS SHOULDNT BE ALLOWED NEAR ANY LIVING BEINGS, LET ALONE BE PAID FOR IT BY YOU AND I.

WHAT IS SICKER IS THAT THIS IS OBVIOUSLY NOT THE FIRST TIME HE HAS DONE IT, BUT IS THE FIRST TIME HE WAS CAUGHT AND ASKED TO PAY THE CONSEQUENCES. HE SHOOTS AT ANIMALS IN THE AREA WITH A PELLET GUN JUST TO RUN INSIDE WHEN ANYONE COMES OUT TO INVESTIGATE. WHAT ARE THE CONSEQUENCES, ANYWAY? HE WAS BOOKED AT 11 AM THIS MORNING AND I AM TYPING THIS AT 10:30 THE SAME NIGHT, AND HE’S ALREADY BEEN OUT FOR ALMOST TWO HOURS. I WILL NEVER SEE SKEETER AGAIN, BUT I HAVE ALREADY BEEN FORCED TO LOOK AT THIS MAN ARRIVE ACROSS THE STREET. IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED, HE LIVES AT 8410 N ORANGEVIEW AVENUE. ORANGEVIEW IS THE RESIDENTIAL STREET BETWEEN PIZZA HUT AND CASA MEXICANA ON E BUSCH BLVD RIGHT BY BUSCH GARDENS. THE LANDLORD HASNT DECIDED WETHER OR NOT TO EVICT THIS GARBAGE, WHICH I FIND AMAZING.

I MISS SKEETER DEARLY, AS DOES THE REST OF MY FAMILY, INCLUDING HIS BROTHER SCOOTER (BOTH NAMED FOR THE MUPPET SIBLINGS FROM MUPPET BABIES). PLEASE LOVE AND CARE FOR YOUR PETS. NEVER TAKE A PASSING PET FOR GRANTED AND ALWAYS REALIZE WHAT A GIFT EVERY PET, STRAY, EVERY LIVING CREATURE IS.

I HAD A 6’6” 250 LB FORMER MILITARY MAN AND HIS GIRLFRIEND TAKE AWAY MY OPPORTUNITY TO SPEND TIME WITH SKEETER, SO SPEND AN EXTRA MINUTE WITH YOURS FOR OUR SAKE.

THANK YOU

PS I CAN BE REACHED AT

I am so sorry for your loss. I have cats and children and know that this Wyatt monster will (and probably already) has hurt or even killed other animals and even humans. He’s a scum-sucking pig. If his girlfriend is teaching in Hillsborough County, the District office needs to know. By not doing anything, she could be charged as an accomplice. He’s also alledgedly shooting at police helicopters with a pellet gun. If so, that’s a class C felony: assault on a police officer.

OK here’s what’s available from the clerk’s site.... not sure how this will format whn pasted here.  bottom line is no date set for arraingment.  If you go to ANY of these hearings, you must follow all decorum, or your presence will be counter-productive.

schatzi, please accept my condolences for your loss. I can only imagine how heartbreaking it must be to lose a member of the family the way you did. I urge you to practice all the restraint you can manage and allow the fractured system we have do what it will do. Trust that there will be plenty of people following the case and urging the judge to hand down the maximum sentence allowable by law. Doing anything other than that yourself will not accomplish anything you would really want and the cost would be far more than a gutter scrub like that will ever be worth. Whether you believe in God or Karma or some other sort of Higher Power, they all tend to protect the innocent, the small defenseless and the animals and I have a feeling, when his payback comes calling, he’s not going to be the least little bit comfortable for a long time. I believe in that sort of thing and it gives me some measure of comfort, considering just how many jerks like him there are in the world today. I hope maybe it might bring you some too.

I disagree with the practice of letting family pets roam free, and their vulnerability to sick perverts like this is one of the reasons. (Having found one of my own smushed by a car in the middle of the road one spring morning years ago is another). I now live with five content indoor cats.

But I AM NOT BLAMING THE OWNERS HERE AND free-roaming pets do not give ANYONE licence to kill, maim, or torture animals. This man is sick, sick, sick. There are sufficient scientific studies and case histories that demonstrate that anyone who would commit such a crime against a defenseless animal could just as easily do it to a human. Many of the “renowned” serial killers started with animals.

These are the monsters who walk among us--no matter what the community. Sick people are everywhere.

The law must show no leniency toward this abomination of a human being, and the message must be sent that society finds acts of this nature COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE.

LOCK HIM UP AND THROW AWAY THE KEY--AND GET HIM SOME PSYCHIATRIC HELP SO HE DOESN’T HURT ANYBODY ELSE, INCLUDING IN PRISON.

And for God’s sake can we see an end to the “free to good home” ads and backyard breeders and puppy mills? Spay and neuter your pet BEFORE it reproduces, and get your animal from a shelter and ONLY if you KNOW you can keep it and care for it and love it for all of its life and that it doesn’t end up in the hands of a monster like this.

The owner of this property is Virgie Pauline Jackson.  Her address and phone # are below.  If you want this sick !@#% Richard Wyatt removed from the neighborhood, seems the landlord is one place to request assistance.  Also, hopefully, the law will prevail and remove him from our community for good!

This info was gleened from the Hillsborough County Property Appraiser - Property Record Search:  http://www.hcpafl.org, and http://www.whitepages.com netted the phone #.

While we are all calling on the courts to deliver swift, fierce and righteous judgment on Richard Wyatt just as it should and that is the best thing we can be doing in this case, at the same time if I’m not mistaken the tone of the board and my own feelings are telling me that the current penalties don’t begin to atone for the pain and suffering inflicted on all of these poor defenseless animals. These acts are down right sickening. The baby ducksthat were literally stomped to death for the sheer pleasure of the actor? The beautiful sandhill crane, it’s legs, twisted and broken off, one at a time and then left alive to suffer. It would try to make do, because that was it’s only injury and there was little loss of blood, but still an excruciatingly painful injury. The deviousness behind the traps and the torches is just evil. and yet any of the perpetrators could get off with as little as probation and/or community service. It’s time we demanded our legislators change these laws and defined any intentionally cruel or malicious act against an animal as a felony with mandatory minimum jail time and never own or be around animals unsupervised again for life. Or at least something along those lines, something with some teeth, this mamby pamby crap has got to stop. They can give misdemeanor charges for being mean to the Muppet’s. I’m not saying that the laws we have now are bad or wrong, but it looksfrom where I sit, like they are usually misapplied or someone somewhere says ‘it was just an animal.’ In that case, I’d say it’s time to elevate the animal’s rights.

Bottomline....Laws and Policies need, should, or are suppose to change, amend, or be created accordingly in society. There are more people now then ever before expressing their concern for the environment & giving a voice to the creatures of this earth; Is anyone listening? Do we need to trun up the volume as in Katrina?

Need to elect officials who have a level of compassion necessary to protect our world. We don’t want you if you don’t hold certain values that make the changes that postively impact ALL life. Superfical & shallow please leave the platform. And there is a need more federal governing over states with regards to animal welfare as well.

As for people who practice horrific acts of cruelty ...there may come a day that the law wont be able to protect them any longer if it’s not adjusted as said--accordingly. The good people in this country are collectively reaching a limit and will continue to speak out.  Just the way it is....

The Voice

I am the voice of the voiceless
And through the dumb shall speak
Till the deaf world’s ear be made to hear
The wrongs of the wordless weak.

From street, from cage, from kennel,
From stable and zoo, the wail
of my tortured kin proclaims the sin
Of the mighty against the frail.

Oh, shame on the mothers of mortals
who have not stooped to teach
of the sorrows that lies in dear, dumb eyes
The sorrow that has no speech.

And I am my brother’s keeper,
and I shall fight his fight
and speak the word for beast and bird
till the world shall set things right.  Ella Wheeler Wilcox

I don’t think 5000 is a sufficient fine. His brother will post it for him. His “girlfriend” will help him.I am truly sickened and depressed by this story. And it’s not even the only animal abuse story in the past 24 hours in the Tampa area alone. Florida is becoming America’s cesspool, frankly.

Not only is Florida becoming a cesspool, people seem to be content to let this happen. The Humane Society of the United States has a nationwide educational program called “First Strike.” Its aim is to educate children and adults in the lon-term ramifications of allowing animal abuse get out of hand. Go to http://www.hsus.org/firststrike
and read about it. The horrible death of those baby ducklings and the torture of the beautiful sandhill cranes are symptoms of a society that is fragmenting. The torture of these cats also shows how far we’ve gone.
I’ve lived in Florida for 25 years. I told my family five years ago that this state is no longer safe for children, people, or any living thing. I can see why people are making plans to move.
