I agree, the spammers are in every single area of the boards… like Rady and vshallow above. I wan tto post more but find it useless when good meaning topics are only replied to by spammers with linkage.
You can also see the spammers by the number of new users who have signed up in the last couple of months with no or only one post to their name. It is too bad becuase it does wreck a perfectly good local forum message board.

you can emial, private message and ask all you like, but to get a response out of the morderators is rare. They are busy people apparently. I know of several members, including myself who would like to volunteer monitoring and removing spam posts and blocking IP’s of said users, but have yet to get a response. I ran a board for several years and never had a spam problem because I kept up with it and had a couple helpers for when I was no on. I see hundreds in not more bogus usernames that need to be deleted… but they allow the spam to continue.

All we can do is *bump* legit topics and try to push the spam posts to the bottom of the page.

Remember, NEVER click a link (unless you know the user), especially in a newbie user’s signature or post.

The forum monitors don’t seem to enforce the forum rules. I’ve reported cursing and other such issues and they have answered on some occasions but have done nothing. We are now invaded with those who are using this forum to sell there wares and these disrespectful individuals have posted on every thread each and every day, and why are they allowed free advertisement?
