you know why people hate cats? heres why.

when people were crazy about accusing people of witchcraft.  one not witch went into a room and one black cat came out.  But she was never a witch.  and there were cats in that town.

There are not freeloaders, cats can chase away bears, robbers, and german sheperds, they are loving and caring.  and dogs are dangerous and scary.  and im not saying this of other people, stereotypes or one dog. when i was 2 i was trampled by a bulldog and all dogs try to jump on me and a couple actually chased me around the block.  And one bit me on my ankle and people can get killed by the bites even if the dogs didn’t have rabies, while cats can usually only cause birth defects (which can be deadly) with the help of a parasite (or the cats help the parasite) . but i would still never hate them.

and so what if there not that trainable like dogs.  its only because cats are intelligent enough to know that its beneath their own dignity.  they can still learn simple commands

and scratching is cat nature and every animal throws up. some other animals might find human talking annoying but its unfair to hate human.

so cats are just as good as dog (at least) and i hate cat haters because they have absolutely no reason to.

P.S. im not trying to say dogs are bad, but im trying to explain something to cat haters, which are most likely to be dog lovers.  sorry dog lovers that aren’t cat haters if i hurt your feelings or your dogs feelings. i know that most dogs aren’t like that, but apparently the bad ones always come to the people that are scared, like me

The Reason Why I Hate Cats are:
I’ve heard is that they kill birds, they don’t follow you around like dogs, are narcissistic and boring. You seldom come across people saying they hate dogs. I think my friend Fred is the only dog-hater I have ever come across. In Fred’s eyes, cats win hands-down every time as he finds their fur is softer and cleaner. He also likes the fact your hand doesn’t smell after touching a cat. Let’s face it: I love dogs as much as the next person but I do find some of them do smell. But Fred also says cats are users. He says they will ignore you until they want something (usually food) and then they will follow you around and snuggle up to you. In that case, my ducks were users too.

Cats are individuals like people.. they can be quite mysterious at times. I think the thing the gets SOME people is that cats are not as needy generally speaking as dogs are. SOME types of people desire to have an affectionate and needy animal that desires to be petted, played with and mussed with constantly.. or at least more than the typical cat.
I for one enjoy the a cat can entertain it’s self with a cheap item found on the floor for hours, walks his or herself to their litterbox and pretty much takes care of it’s self as long as I leave out the proper tools and maintain those tools.

My cats are affectionate at times, but during certain hours of the day, they are sleeping or playing together on their own. BUT they always come when I call their names.

In my opinion, both of cats and dogs are lovely, as the result of science, cat and dog help people decrease the stress. However, with the people who have rhinitis, cats and dogs can affect to your health

We have always had a cat and a dog when I was growing up, they got along good and were lifelong friends. BUT cats and dogs are so different, both have good and bad just like anything else.
I had a friend who was scared of cats thinking they were supernatural or witchy, I found it funny.

Our cats are each unique but little loving furballs. One is the old lady, sort of lazy but loves a good fight now and then, one is our clown and acts like a baby or acts silly like a clown, one is our puppy kitty who plays fetch, catch and soccer and the forth is our little hunter, jumper and all around naughty girl.

We have 4 we keep them clean and our house does not stink of cats, but our neightbor has 9 and it smells of a cathouse litterbox in there.... that is where the not so positive comes into play, not the cats fault, all in the care. Sure they shed, but so do dogs, our cats have no body odor, but dogs always seem to have that sour dog smell unless bathed enough. Cats have their potty in the house that we must deal with, but a dog must be walked, picked up after and no matter the weather must go out.

There are plus and minus with every kind of pet, it just depends on what fits you and your lifestyle and what you feel is best. I has 2 dogs in my life and I miss them dearly, but do not plan on getting a dog, or anyother pets, for at least 10-15 years.

I read the one post above stating all the side effects of owning cats, one good thing, everyone is different. The idea of owning a cat can kill your libido is weird, I am sure possible, but weird. Our cats are intuitive and communicate and are just such a joy to our entire family and whomever comes over greet the cats before they say hi to us...lol

Pets are pets. So why is it that some people have a fear of cats? My cats are very affectionate. Other people say cats are arrogant. How do you feel, and why?

Where does anyone say they “have a fear of cats”? There are cat people & there are dog people much like there are sweet and unsweet tea people.

I’ve found some affectionate cats, but most seem somewhat aloof & could care less about you unless you have food. Frankly I prefer our GSP.

I think people are arrogant because they want cats to fetch.

because people want total control

Cats are great pets. I don’t have to walk my cat, and it’s quiet.

It is not a matter of having fear of cats.
It is that you just cannot communicate with them like you can with a dog.
The cat is independent.  It is always mostly a wild creature.  Some are more “civilized” than others.
We currently have 2, both are house cats and neither of them are affectionate.

This cat was an outdoor cat, but ideal for a small child to play with. (with consideration for the animal of course) She was like a rag doll.
