I am glad that this piece of s$%t got the death penalty, however, he will be on death row which means it will be hard for inmates to get to him which to me would be the appropriate sentence, an eye for an eye so to speak! But what galls me to my last nerve is you Floridians have to foot the bill to keep him alive till his day comes. He gets three hots a day, medical and dental care for his one tooth, showers, an hour out in a dog kennel, can receive and send mail, can make phone calls, have a black and white TV, and probably them damm coloring books, Sodoku puzzles. he should get nothing, bread and water, one shower a week, one jumpsuit, bare minimum medical care, no TV, mail, no writing materials, the only thing he can do is stare at the walls 24 hours a day till they fry him because they need to bring back the chair for him and Joesph Scumbag, nothing else will do. Those angels, Jessie and Carlie and their families need to see them suffer and in a perfect world they could watch these scuzbags die in agony by inmates who really would give them a new meaning of PAIN IN THE ASS!!! I would send money towards the inmate’s commissary for that for sure! When that pedophile scum bag priest got his at Walpole Prison in Massachusetts, I wrote a letter to the Boston Herald thanking that inmate because his way of thinking was Gaegan could get out and do it again, as I feel he probably would have, hell he had close to 100 victims, if he had not have been caught there would have been 200! We need the one strike law and fast so there won’t be any more dead children with laws enacted with their names. Had Jessie Lunsford, Meghan Kanka, Polly Klaas, Elizabeth Smart and Carlie Brucia’s families and all the other murdered and abused children’s families had known what they know now maybe those children would not have been abused and murdered. The verdict today shows that we are not going to take it anymore! Lastly, my heart goes out to all the families of those sweet girls and Jessie you got your wings today, you are God’s little angel now and I hope you rest in peace sweetheart. To Mark, this is a victory for you and I know brother it does not bring Jessie back, but she is in all of us and we have the power to stop these dirtbags from harming our children by putting them away either LWPOP or DEATH!
Ok...now that Couey has been found guilty, when will the Barney Fife of Citus County be held responsible for his part in Jessica’s death? Per news reports, Couey’s sister refused to let them search her mobile home. Jessica was in the mobile home for at least two days while deputies were searching the area. Had they obtained a search warrant when they were denied entry, I believe Jessica would be alive today.
I know there has been questions about Couey saying that he kept Jessie alive and that she was alive for several days. Listening to that questions being asked today on CourtTV - Couey was full of bs. The evidence shows the injury’s to her and from that they compared time of death and have determined that from the time she was taken until the time she died was less than a day. Remember Couey and that whole bunch were drugged up - time flys when you are having fun. I pray that what the prosecutors say is true and that she didn’t have to suffer as much as she would have if kept alive several days. I haven’t been able to watch anything on tv with my kids here. I kept up with the trial through the blog here. I don’t remember heariing/seeing this. I hope and pray that everything she went through did take place in one day and not several.
This case keeps bringing to mind George Orwell’s “1984.” A murder was committed, the citizens were rounded up and given a shot of a truth drug, and the guilty person confessed. I wish we had something like that in our society. That way, the guilty would be punished immediately because there would be no cause for a trial or years of appeals. This also brings to mind the case against Saddam Hussein. He didn’t spend 13 years on death row before receiving his rightful sentence. Our justice system needs some changes.

Is Amanda and Sarah Fla cases? Maybe that is why I had not heard of those girls, maybe it was not as publicized as the other girls. And I have from the get-go know that gutter filth, scum-sucking piece of shit sister knew Jessie was there. Now we talking about a real skank here, she knew when she kicked Couey out Jessie had been reported missing and she knew her brother had something to do with it, but instead of going to the police, she bought him a bus ticket out of Dodge and I hate that loser bitch with every fiber of my being! That trash empowered him by not going to the law when he molested her OWN daughter and the other nieces, she wanted to keep her family together! GAG!!!! Amanda Brown disappeared in I believe ‘98. Her body was never found but a piece of filth along the same lines as Couey, named Willie Crain was convicted and sits on death row. Amanda’s skank mother picked him up at a bar and took him home with her, where he drugged her and kidnapped Amanda. Her DNA was found all over his trailer, hence the conviction.
Yesterday would have been her 16th birthday.
Sarah Lunde’s trial is set to start soon.
I was watching courtTV today.. Mark Lunsford and several other parents that have lost children are forming a group to go to D.C. to contact legislators about funding the laws that have been passed already. Mark said today most laws do not have funding to be of any use.

Good site! If you go back on several of my posts I have mentioned this several times. It is most important that the governments give funding to their laws!!! Anyone can make laws but without the funding nothing happens with the law!!!!! Would we rather house people like Couey after his second conviction or spend money up front to get them off the street after their first conviction. I know that none of us want to spend more in taxes but we have to have these laws funded. These people will not go away on their own - we must put them away!!!!
I have followed this story since it happened. My heart goes out to the Lunsford family and I am very proud of how Jessica’s father had stepped forward and tries to do something good out of a horrific crime. I personally wish all sex offenders would be put away right away and should never be let out. John Couey is getting the death sentence but I agree they wait too long to actually take their life. I would like to see justice stepped up in cases like this so the families can have some closure. I think even a better sentence would be to let the father/family of the victims be the ones to decide how and when they die. Anyone who can do such horrible things to such innocent victims deserves to be treated the same way. God bless the Lunsford family. I have prayed for them often.

I do not think I could keep my composure as well as he. I do hope through his actions and commitment to helping the many he has already helped through awareness, laws passed, etc. he can find peace someday.
