The Westchase homeowner association has been debating whether to build office space for its property manager and perhaps to serve as a small sheriff’s substation.

Some critics have objected to the project as expensive and unnecessary. They favor looking into other options before constructing a new building.

So far, a draft budget sets aside $80,000 for 2008 costs associated with such a project. Westchase’s voting members are expected to discuss the draft budget next month.

I think Westchase should build office space for the general public and include a sheriff substation.  If you are looking for the utmost in safety and security, it doesn’t get any better than a workstation/sheriffs station.  The amount that would be generated from just the influx of people would be legendary.  Think about it, one would have to have absolutely nothing to do with other.  People would feel completely safe and secure and would have a super productive work environment knowing harassment is not possible, they are not going to get robbed, and they are not going to be insecure.

What do you think?
