People need to get thicker skin. I don’t care for the term white-boy, but I just except it and move on. I know your next move will be that the nooses are threatening...and it may be, but until you start seeing blacks being actual hung....I think its just a way to say I don’t like you. Most of this stuff is blow out of portion, remember there is always two side of a story, the media usually only reports one side.
This would all be true sae for the fact that hanging a noose in a tree, even as a joke, is a hate crime due to the origin of the meaning of it. You are right though, people need to grow thicker skins, but when you have idiots such as those that hung the noose as well as those who retaliated with violence, you cannot predict how a person will react. If the officials of the school and the prosecutors office had handled the situation in a manner that let the perpetrators know that it would not be tolerated, it would never have escalated to the point that it is now. And as for the term “white boy”, though it does not offend you, if I were to hear that come from the mouth of one of my children they would sorely regret it as well as have to participate in some type of volunteer activity that could possibly teach them that it is wrong to judge a person by the color of his/her skin, religion or beliefs. It starts with me and you, thanks for being there as a human being with understanding

I agree, Mr. Johnson and I believe you hit the nail on the head. Behavior starts at childhood and it’s the parents responsibility to teach their child right from wrong. If all races did this.....most problems would be solved/avoided. That being said, six black kids beating up one white kid is also a hate crime.

I would say there is a big difference. Your analogy while clever is like comparing apples and oranges. Simply because people get shot everyday in this country, but I don’t hear about racial hangings of people of any color. Until you show me evidence that people are being hung (modern day) I say grow thicker skin.

First off, I said your statement makes no sense and you did not say a word about that. Second, if you allow things like a noose or a symbol to control your life.....hey don’t complain to me. It was probably raining former members from the old St. Pete Times online forum that day. I believe he signed up here on the last day of that forum??
The old St. Pete posters were obsessed with others using multiple log-ons etc… It was kind of amusing to watch. Sometimes they were wrong in their accusations, sometimes they were right. Too bad to see they will be continuing the obsession over here.

You can’t control what people say or do in any forum. You can make accusations, which most of the time are probably wrong anyway, which only end up antagonizing people, who then end up becoming defensive and so on and so on.
If there are people who are so insecure that they feel the need to double post using different names, then that’s their problem. I could care less.
