America’s War On Sex:
The Attack on Law, Lust, & Liberty

The Right has successfully politicized our private lives. Questions such as who you have sex with, what you do with them, and what you fantasize about are now considered of legitimate public interest.

At the same time, the Right has demonized sexuality, transforming America’s cultural narrative about sex into one of danger and fear.
The U.S. bathes in sexual opportunity and sexually-oriented entertainment, but when America talks sex, it’s almost exclusively about how dangerous it is: unwanted pregnancy, the “homosexual agenda,” infidelity, kiddie porn, date rape, STDs, “porn addiction,” fetal pain, broadcast “indecency,” pedophilia.

After terrifying people with propaganda, of course the Right can pass repressive public policies around sexuality almost at will. But these policies don’t fix social problems--they make them worse. This makes people more anxious for themselves and their loved ones, so they ask for even more repressive public policies around sex. Politicians and “morality” leaders gladly comply.

The subject of sexuality may seem trivial, but the government and Religious Right are using it as the vehicle for transforming America’s secular democracy. Sexual crime and “indecency” are the pretext for dramatically truncating our right to see, hear, and write what we wish. “Harmful to minors” legislation demands that adults be limited to viewing websites that are fit for children.

The War on Sex is not just about eliminating abortion, sex education, HBO, and strip clubs--although those are some of its goals. Those who war on sex have been perfectly clear: they want to transform our secular democracy. And with their War on Sex, they’re succeeding.

SEAN O, the day you’re legally impeded from having any kind of sex you want, when you want - get back to us about The War.

Point well-taken, Steve. I put the “War on Sex” right up there with the “War on Christmas”. But I will say this: to me, it’s disappointing how much our entertainment relies on sex (as I just read somewhere about ratings—the deeper the cleavage, the higher the ratings). In movies, TV, shows—it seems everything always comes down to something sexual. Then everyone scratches their heads wondering why that’s all our kids seem to think about.

There is no “war on sex”.
They speak with forked tongue.
They talk about morality while at the same time the promote every form of depravity that lurks within the human psyche.

The moralists have no plan, never had a plan. They know/knew that repression and prohibition do not/did not work except to create masses of neurotic humans who need to be further controlled.
Which only means that they were working for the opposistion/are one and the same.
The appearnce of duality is to create division among you.
While you are fighting/argueing with these little things, you do not notice that you are being manipulated.

We now have masses of sex obsessed neurotics and violence obsessed neurotics.
When we become habituated to the level of stimulation, they ramp it up.

You don’t have to look back very far to see how much it has been ramped up in just 30 years.
What do you think is the next step and what effect will it have on society?

They play us like pieces on a game board or images in a video game.

Short version of this post (plagiarized or not, it brings up a darn good point): we Americans need to seriously grow up when it comes to matters of sexuality. We rely on abstinence-only education while the number of teen pregnancies has actually INCREASED since the Bushites decided abstinence-only ed was a brilliant idea.

Also increasing in recent years is the number of teens contracting STDs, some of which permanently damage their reproductive health and impair their potential to have children when they are older and ready to do so. How can our children grow into healthy, responsible adults who respect their and others’ bodies if we, um, actual adults don’t behave as such and set an example for them?

I mean, if this isn’t a horrifying example of the ridiculous extremes we will go to not even call a functioning body part by its anatomically correct name. And yes, the Hoo-Hah Monologues debacle is a true story that happened right here in our home state of FL (surprise!).

We spend billions on Exploration of space, millions on containing prisoners, why not spend all on sending these creeps and dangerous crimminals to some planet, or Island, let them rape, steal, murder each other...I know it sounds like a ridiculous and far fetch idea...but what other way is there to deal with these creeps.

... because that would violate the 8th Amendment: “Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.” (emphasis added)

Implant a permanent RFID under their Skin...this would broadcast to anyone carrying the Blue Tooth Remote Transceiver & Scanner they are predictors or dangerous crimminals.

That’s not a bad idea—though there would probably be a challenge to it in court.

Imagine my chagrin when after 30 some years of sexual activity I discovered it was best practiced with a partner. My orthopedic surgeon thought it unusual that I needed surgery for tennis elbow but did not understand how to score a match.

Now that I’ve discovered sheep and goats, I wonder.....does that make me baaa-sexual?

I was amazed to find there really does seem to a war on sex here in America. I was fired from my last job for masturbating in the mens room. I mean… it seems absurd to try to control what an employee does in a private stall during his breaks. If one lets feces, urine, snot, or blood (women) flow from their body...thats o.k., but lettting semen flow is grounds for dismissal? I don’t get it.
It wasn’t even like I did it 2-3 times a day - it was usually never more than once, except for days I worked overtime. I always cleaned up afterwards, pretty well. Should employers really have that much power over their workers? I found that masturbating at work cleared my mind, and likely increased my production.
