Richards doesnt need to go anywhere, am i the only one realizing that he is just as valuable as anybody on are team and because… he doesnt put up the spectacualr numbers as Vinny, and Mary granted almsot the whole year that he has been playing on a line with ward or hlavac. If Hlavac could put the puck in the net he could have 20-25 goals already. But getting boyle back will help. as much as i love torts he has to go. His system doesnt work with these players, because we dont have a calber typ goalie of a khabibulin when he was here. Also by the way were only 7 points out with 35 Games left this season is far from lost since were playing in the Southeast Divison.

OK you are right, the season isn’t “LOST”. But its not close to finding its way home either. The nice 3 game win streak is a positive. But what’s the point of making the playoffs with a sub .500 wining percentage and getting bounced in the first round. What have you seen this season that makes you think they could get past the first round?

With ownership up in the air, more than likely the Bolts will be sellers at the trading deadline.(barring a huge wining steak coupled with the other 4 teams having losing streaks) Do I agree that should be the course of action, no… But not for the same reasons as everyone else.( Nothing Feaster has done makes me think he’s capable of getting enough in return)

While the playoffs would be nice, it would further hinder the development of this franchise. By not trading Prospal, Richards, Bolye or Marty (Or anyone else), they could be missing out on re-shaping this team for the future, not just another one and done in the playoffs. Look, this isn’t the team that won the cup, and probably wont be unless something is done. Unfortunately this could be the perfect time to start. Look at some of the deals last season at the deadline, other teams would pay out the as# for Richards or Marty.(as much as I’d hate to see them go) Probably get 2 very good players/prospect and draft picks. Hell Feaster had to give up a 1st rd pick for O’Brien.

Look all im saying is that everyone wants to give up when their still in the playoff race and especially with their last 8 games coming against teams from the southeast. Nad i still dont think that we should trade any of the BIG 5. Look at Detroit they in the mid 90 to late 90’s they kept their core and they won what 2 stanley cups same with Colorado. They keep their core players and then go out and sign players that fill in the holes. Its called spending money which are future owners better do, because if they let vinny go say bye bye to alot of fans. Also all this talk bout getting rid of boyle i think we have seen life without boyle this year and it sucks. Defensemen like him dont grow on trees. And lets be honest what will get for them, First round picks when brad and vinny are only in their 20’s and boyle is in his early 30’s and same with marty. Come on people! get the idea it isnt the players or Feaster or Torts. The owners expect us to win a cup with 4 players. Also if they make the playoffs u never know what can happen cus they will get a 3 seed and they have gotten 5 out of a possible 6 points from the best team in the East.

The NHL has this thing called a salary cap.(somewhere around 48-52 million I think) Your boy Jay Feaster signed Brad Richards to the highest possible salary he could give him at the time.( 7.8 million a year)… Vinny has a 6+ million dollar a year salary… Marty also makes 5.5+ million.... Boyle( I do like him but think he will receive too much money) makes 4 million.... Are you understanding the situation? So, yes the reason the Bolts are in this mess is part Feaster, part Torts, and a very small part on the owners. Feaster knew his budget, and this is what he came up with. Torts knew what kind of team he had and this is what he came up with. The owners, in my opinion did nothing wrong. They let Feaster and the fans know what the situation was going to be,(selling of the franchise) and if anything be lucky they haven’t given the order to dump payroll. You can’t blame the current owners because the original group screwed up the deal. Feaster has trusted these same scouts and personal department for years and it hasn’t produced crap! What that means is, if you are going to commit 50% or more to the payroll in 4 players,(not counting Denis 2.5+ mil or Kuba 3.3mil) the scouting department and the GM have to find those cheap “gems” and they’ve proved they can’t. And Torts has pretty much shown, that without a great goalie, his system is flawed. Remember, he was the one who wanted Ramsey fired. I’m thinking maybe Torts shouldn’t have used Ramsey as a scapegoat for the one and done in the playoffs last season.

See, your thinking is nice, its just not realistic. The Red Wings, you are really going to compare the Red Wings franchise to the Bolts. A franchise that has been selling out their games not only at home but on the road as well for decades. A team that has roots 5 time as long as the Bolts have been around. Have you ever been to the Forum for a Red Wings game?

A second Rd pick and paying this bum 1.5 million dollars. What a joke… This is what Feaster thinks is a good move? Are you serious? I would have thought that money could have been better spent on a winger for Brad Richards line. Or are we just going to keep plugging different guys in there with the “hope” that one of them sticks. (like torts did all year last yr) Or will he pull Marty off of Vinny’s line so his pride and joy Richards can have his play mate back on his line, while screwing up the mo-jo Marty and Vinny have.

This word “HOPE” that feaster throws out there is a bit alarming. You do know what you are doing? You aren’t going into this blind, are you? This is not a good move and does not make us a better team right now! Feaster, you are a hack and should stick to what you know( minor league’s).

How about that 6 months later and I was right.
