Please vote for the candidate you support for President and feel free to comment regarding your selection. I think it will be interesting to compare this to the area primary results.

I hope we see some fresh blood in the White House - not the same corporate politicians who have dominated domestic policy for the past 16 years.

Wonder why the media is cutting Ron Paul out so much?

Wish I would not have spelled Hillary Clinton’s name wrong but the poll cannot be edited.
As for Ron Paul, I see more election signs in people’s yards and elsewhere supporting him for President than I do supporting any other candidate and I travel our country extensively. His is truly a grassroots candidacy. In reference to the media attention he receives, I have often wondered if the perceived level of support influences the amount of media attention or if the amount of media attention is intended to influence the level of support. The later reminds me of the expression, “the tail wagging the dog.”

This country hasn’t been more divided since the Vietnam War.

The poll rocks, spellling error or not. My crystal ball sees another Presidential election decided by the courts, not the peoples’ majority. Unless something happens to unite the U.S. before November election, we can expect more of the same from Washington for another 4 years regardless of which candidate is President. Can we afford another 4 years of deficit spending to appease the few, paid for by our grandchildren? The only thing that G. W. Bush knows how to do is to spend, spend, spend!!!!

This so called economic stimulus package is a band aid on a gunshot wound. The price of healthcare, energy, food, and housing are not being controlled in any manner - a few hundred dollars to spend on a weekend spending binge paid for by the U.S. taxpayers is equal to buying votes for the November election. And I see Hillary and all the other candidates afraid to stand up against the Whitehouse and demand fiscal responsibility.

This poll results show no frontrunner, no leader who has respect of a majority, and the poll results are frightening!!!

I voted Romney as I agree with his policies more than any other candidate.  While visiting Sebring last week I saw several Mitt Romney signs in driveways and road shoulders.  I saw a few Ron Paul signs to.

We need record number of voters to turnout Tuesday! Tired of the same old politicians - let’s get a new voice in the Whitehouse. A second term should be limited to two years instead of four years.

I agree. Based on our poll here, it looks like Obama and Romney will win tomorrow. Whether indiividual voters support these candidates or not, it might be a good idea for them to grab someone who they know and who agrees with them grin and head to the polls. I’m looking forward to seeing the results.

Guess the Highlands County results will be in the paper tomorrow. Looks like its going to be McCain v Clinton when the primaries are over. Anyone disagree?

I have one other question. Does anyone have an opinion as to the fairness of a winner-take-all primary vs. a proportional primary?

we have the best politicians and judges that money can buy. Fairness? I don’t see anything fair about the entire nomination process. A simple majority vote of the people (all the people who vote) would be my choice for who is on the ballot in November - eliminate the caucus, eliminate the closed party system, and eliminate all the big donations from special interests influencing our selection for future leaders.

The majority of people like cattle are really only looking for the next patch of green grass on which to graze. The herd in its ignorance is content to graze and bellow when things don’t go their way. When it comes time to vote, most do not show up.

The cattle metaphor is good. So you favor protecting the masses from themselves? That rhetoric doesn’t fly in a true democracy. Let the majority decide, let the majority rule.

Maybe I do but I’ll think about it further. My initial thought is that its the only humane thing to do.

I believe in a representative democracy and rule by the majority. It must also contain a provision for the protection of the fundamental rights of the individual and the minority.
