wassup - 04 June 2008 11:01 PM
I find this so interesting because I read a year or more ago that former President Clinton received a huge, and I mean HUGE donation (estimated $100 mil. +) to his Presidential library from a Russian who was involved in the oil or gold business, and that this was given in return for some connection or favor provided by former President Clinton.

I would like to know more about that wassup.  Do you remember where you read that?

Gritshifter,
I don’t think the following article is where I originally read it but this is what I was remembering:

While we minnows swim close to shore and are concerned about the price of gas, the biggest of fish are swimming in the deep blue sea concerned about the price of uranium.

You’re welcome. I believe this article was originally posted in the NY Times. Former President Clinton’s unwillingness to discuss his business transactions probably should disqualify his wife from VP consideration. I wonder though what he would have been willing to discuss if she had been the nominee or if the question would have just been swept under the rug. If she is the VP nominee and I was McCain, I would certainly make an issue of it as he seemed to be acting contrary to US foreign policy at the time.
