I find it disgusting and revolting that an officer/prison official sworn to protect and serve would treat a human (a HUMAN) with such utter contempt!

Irrespective of the amount of vile and contemptuous behavior exhibited by jailed humans, no one should do what this repulsive fraud of a law enforcement officer did.

All parties to this “Black Eye” for Hillsborough County should be FIRED immediately and arrested if applicable.

I find it interesting that the local NAACP and other Black Civil leaders are remaining quiet and not speaking out condemning this barbaric human rights violation.  Why is that?

See, we DO live in a society of double standards don’t we?  Sad day to be a citizen (White or Black) in the County of Hillsborough, State of Florida.

Yes! But if anybody thinks this attitude towards inmates is ramdom, you are mistaken! In my younger and wilder days I have been arrested, and the cops attitudes are the same now as it was back in the early 70’s. BOW & KNEEL BEFORE ME!! I’m in charge here!! Who’s going to belive you over me!? Does this sound familier.

She most certainly should be fired.

But, that isn’t nearly sufficient. I want her charged, just as I would be had I done this. I want her to go through the booking process without preferential treatment, just as I would. I want her to go through the bail bond process, as I would have to do. I want her to have to hire an attorney to attempt to defend her, much as I would have to do. I want her tried and convicted. I want her to do time. Her act was criminal ... had it been me, I would be charged.

Alas, that isn’t likely to happen. She’s a member of the club and there’s a different set of rules for club members.

yea she has a tough job blah blah blah but she knows this.  she’s done it for, what, 22 years?  and it’s come to light this isnt the first time she’s been disciplined.  I dont care if it was her first time.  he came in there in a wheelchair, so it’s totally irrelevant whether she believed him or not.  but she dumped him and proceeded to frisk him like it was nothing, throwing the paper or whatever it was on the table.  i had enough at that point.  she failed to realize one important thing: when she’s wearing that uniform, she represents Mr Gee, Hillsborough County and the county law enforcement.  and now we have the national spotlight!  a friend of mine in Maine called and ask about it!

but now is she backtracking her bold statements i swore i saw on this very site earlier?  I cannot find a single link where she stated she felt she did nothing wrong and will be exonerated for what she did.  She has shamed herself and the whole agency for what she did to that man.

The difference between this incident and the MacDonalds incident is the video so it doesn’t become a he said, she said problem. If she behaves like this on camera, what does she do when she isn’t being recorded?

She most definitely deserves to be terminated with prejudice to begin with and then and only then, so she no longer has the influence of any previous position to support her, she should be charged with misuse of her authority, felony assault on the disabled and whatever other charges may be deemed appropriate for such a disgusting and cowardly act on another human being. The other three clowns who stood around and did nothing but laugh should also be, at the very least disciplined for dereliction of duty and conduct unbecoming an officer or failure to perform or assist and lose 60 days or so and maybe a pay grade. Maybe they should let the disabled groups decide an appropriate form of discipline for them?

This sheriff shows the arrogance of the Republican Party which controls the state and county.  The dumping of a parapeligic from a wheelchair just shows what Republicans really think of the disabled.

she should be fired, but it would not surprise me if she is not.

if she is fired she will most likely scream racial prejudice and demand her job back.

I think that she should be charged the same as a citizen would have been charged if he or she did that to a police officer.

This is a direct result of the Democratic Party and it’s culture of entitlement.  With it almost impossble to fire someone due to unions and civil service rules, bad apples are promoted by schedule and allowed to acquire power they do not know how to handle.

Yes, Deputy Jones should be fired. She not only committed this horrible act but wrote up no report. Clearly she knew she was wrong as did the people watching and laughing. It’s rather common for people to be beat by cops before they get to the jail in our county. These deputies are a few Oreos short of a package. Thank God the film wasn’t destroyed.

Sue I’m attaching my commit to yours, I hope you don’t mine? The reason being is I agree with what you stated as to crimes by law enforcement officers such as whipping up on citizens indeed is a common occurrence more so than the average citizen is aware. When watching the video you could tell this was not an isolated incident by the way no one was alarmed nor did anything to stop her. In my opinion all of them should suffer server penalties. [FIRED]

I was just wondering...how long do you think it will take for this “investigation”?

It seems to me that it is a clear case of felony abuse of a disabled person.

I wonder if they would “investigate” or “arrest” you or me if we did this to a disabled person?

Your breathing I presume? That’s how fast you would be in jail and standing before a judge.

I agree...so what is taking so long?
