Stanton Appears On ‘Montel’ Show

Firing Stanton for a bad job performance is one thing but where did anyone say he was being fired for anything other than his gender change?  Firing him solely on the fact that he wants to become Susan is blatant discrimination.  That, my friends, is cause for a law suit and I hope he goes that far.  If you fire him for wanting to become a woman, then the Blacks and Hispanics and Asians (and any other non-white, non-republican Christian) working for the city of Largo better watch out.  You will be next.  They will need no other cause than thinking you (personally) are a detriment and/or danger to the City of Largo and it’s wonderful citizenry. Where did the rights of the citizens of this country go?  I feel that in this day and age the following: ”We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” means absolutely nothing to you people.

The firing of Steve Stanton has been an inkblot on the city of largo. Recall that Rorschach’s test was designed not to reveal anything about the inkblot held up for inspection but rather about the viewer who announces what he or she sees in the image. The city leaders all saw a reflection of themselves, some choose to see the good in others while others choose to see bad. Both visions are self fulfilling

Good point, Terry. Just look back at this history of this country, and what used to be acceptable discrimination that was finally dealt with. Point well-taken.

Not really It’s a proven fact that the more education you have the less prejudice you are.

The proof is seen on this board. The ones posting against Stanton are obviously not doing any research on his condition and most haven’t even read the articles.

They are also a lot more likely to contain spelling and grammar errors.

I can’t believe any of you are still supposedly discussing this. Anything worth saying has already been said. Granted his appeal has now been denied, but even that didn’t crack open any new lines of discussion. Give it up!!! Hell, even the papparazzi has left the building.

If the decision to fire Mr Stanton was based soley on his job performance, then why did it only come up when he announced his sex change operation. Certainly 14 yrs was more than enough time to have evaluated his job performance. I have a feeling that the City of Largo is about to be sued for Discrimination.
