One of the other bloggers made the comment that they wish the media would not give Mr. Stanton anymore publicity. I agree. Not worth it. So MANY more important things to be covering than someone who needs mental help.
Exactly MichaelAJV ! Our news media is as pathetic as the stories they report on. Let Mr., Mrs. , Ms or whatever Stanton be a freak show unto him/herself. They think because we voice our opinions on such non-sense like this, that it makes it news worthy. What a waste.
Boy if we could now only unite as American citizens to lower our gas prices, that would be worthy news. Just think if we as Americans could agree on not buying gas for one entire week, what effect that may have. Dare I say two weeks !?!?! But there will be some idiot who won’t participate so upward we go on the gas prices. I say why not charge us $4-$5/Gallon we’ll pay it. No one knows how to fight back anymore and the super rich have us right where they want us.

I feel sorry for the people and city of Sarasota if this IT gets the job. All the distraction this person brings to the table would far outwiegh any good that this person could be to the city of Sarasota.

When is the media going to stop beating this dead hourse. This HE / SHE / WHATEVER is just not worth all this attention. There has to other things going on in the news that are far more important. The fact that the news about Stanton evokes this reaction in people like you three is the reason that the news media will continue to report the story.
I think he looks better as a woman than a man. Sorry to say but there was no way Sarasota was going to hire her, they just delayed the turn down as long as they could. City managers are needed all over so she should move to another state and start her new life as Susan.
OMG. get over it. he was bright then and people loved him. same brain. same person. new look now you hate him. Welcome to Sarasota I hope she gets the job. she is personable, intelligent, has a world of experience. who cares what her preference is. She will be alot happier now that the burden is lifted and she can be who she has wanted to be for years. Yes people got hurt. but it in no way reflects on the job this person can do. They made sarasota a circus surrounding her yesterday but i was so proud of the community, even the elderly who are okay with it. closed minds should remain closed mouths....the media blitz and chaos it was expected. however, enough already, he is out of the closet, he is a she. if she came from Louisiana as a she you wouldnt know any better. we have a tampa police officer who did the same thing...i think from she to he?? maybe it was he to she. and its working out fine. didnt lose his job, is well liked and respected. arent there far more bigger things to worry about?? a little more acceptance, a lot less judgement, that is not OUR jobs. that comes from someone else a little higher on the totem pole leave it to him.. or her....
I can’t BELIEVE the press this thing has been getting! Our country is so screwed up if this is what we think we all should be aware of. The guy is a sicko and needs psychological help desperately! If we don’t start calling it like it is in this country we are going to implode! Need I say… just like Rome! The PC crowd that is cramming this trash down our throats and calling it news is ruining this country in a massive way! They keep pushing these articles on us so that over time we will all have so much more sympathy for him and those like him. It’s like the frog in the hot water. We will all eventually feel that he and so many others are perfectly normal and should be embraced. NO! These people need to be treated like the minorities they are, the SICK and TWISTED minorities they are! What if he liked to have sex with animals? Are we supposed to have empathy for him. NO, we need to have nothing to do with them until they get help and adapt to a normal lifestyle. This is how drugs, immorality, and the feel good mantra of the 60’s has taken over our culture. We need to put an end to this crap and start cleaning up this country or before you know it it will be too late and there won’t be enough land left to pile all this trash up in. Oh, and Mr. journalist… Steve Stanton is still a he, so why are we refering to him as a her in your touchy feely news articles. You can dress a male pig up in a pretty flowery dress and it’s still a male pig. Get the picture! How about some responsible journalism with truth and honesty and not this PC, feel good spin you slather all over sick individuals on your way to pushing your immoral agenda on those of us who love this country and want it to return to the land of the free UNDER GOD! People, time is running out for this country! We need to take it back! Put your feet down and don’t stand for this garbage and so many other stories like it!
