I’ve got ten grand in a money market waiting for the first viable electric vehicle with a range of 100 miles, cruise speed of 50 mph, climate control and two seats.
The first company that can produce such a vehicle will make a fortune.
That might be enough for a down payment on such a vehicle. More likely to cost $50K. If such a vehicle is mass produced, where is the electricity going to come from to charge them?
They are making lighter more powerful batteries but unfortunately they don’t seem to last through as many charging cycles and they are more expensive. They also put out full voltage until they run out of charge which makes it more difficult to tell when they are close to running out of charge. You almost have to have a backup battery section to avoid stopping in traffic. Once the battery goes dead it takes about 4 hours to charge it on a 110 volt charger.
