Quanell X attempted to lead a protest in Pasadena, Texas on December 2, 2007, in front of Horn’s house. Joe Horn shot and killed Hernando Riascos Torres (Miguel Antonio DeJesus) and Diego Ortiz, illegal aliens/immigrants and members of a burglary and fake ID ring from Colombia who broke into his neighbor’s house. Horn, against the requests of the 911 operator he was on the phone with, exited his home to confront the robbers. On the tape of the 911 call, Horn is heard to say “Move, and you’re dead”, and fires his shotgun three times.[12] Quanell, who believes the shootings may have been racially motivated, approached Horn’s house to speak to the media. He was greatly outnumbered by several hundred counter-protesters supporting Horn. The crowd of counter-protesters included bikers revving their motorcycles, many chanting “USA”, “Go home” and “We love our country, what do you love?”, and waving placards and US flags.
In the light of the Obama controversy the boards are alive with this sort of thing these days.

Between the night of May 31 and the wee hours of the morning of June 1, 2008, between 20 and 30 black teenagers formed a mob to terrorize the citizens of Mount Clemens, Michigan. These hoodlums robbed people of cell phones and wallets, threw a brick through the window of a moving car, and beat up their victims so badly that at least one of their targets was hospitalized with a fractured skull. In an article in the Macomb Daily entitled “Mob, Carnival Attacks May Be Linked” (6/5/2008), the mother of one of the victims told police that “her son was on the ground trying to fend off the attackers who were ‘about ready to kick his head in’ when deputies arrived.”
The horror of what transpired was articulated in another article in the Macomb Daily entitled “Mob of Young Men Attacks” (6/2/2008). According to that article, “[W]orkers at the gas station [where one of the beatings by the mob occurred] said the man was confronted near a pay telephone. When the gas station attendant saw what was happening, he locked the front door.” As the man pounded on the door to beg the gas station attendant to let him in so that he could get away from the thugs, the mob arrived. The article in the Macomb Daily goes on to say that “An employee [of the gas station] said workers had to wash the man’s blood from the door Sunday.”

do you think that ignoring it will make it go away?

I watched the video. And I have to say, I thought it was great. I’m glad the folks of that neighborhood stood up for what was right.
I also think that the likes of Wright (Reverend) and his racist preachings/religion that have been front and center lately, and the revelation as to how widespread this Black Theology is in many black churches, has hurt relations in many cases between whites and blacks. Such a shame, but true.
Just when we thought that we’d moved beyond skin color, the Wright issue makes us realize that racism is being kept alive and well in many black churches that believe the way Wright does. They actually teach this garbage.
Obama’s acquaintances (and quite a motley crew they are), have unfortunately made everyone aware that racism is not just whites against blacks, but blacks against whites.
What connection does this incident have to do with Obama or Wright? Are you saying Obama’s name is Hispanic now or he’s from Houston.
Follow this path: the story is about alleged racism --> Obama’s pastor has made racists comments --> therefore Obama must be racist. Make sense now?

If you’ll read my post again, you’ll note that I said Obama’s acquaintances. Not Obama himself. I worded it carefully, and never once blame Obama. You made that connection on your own. That’s interesting.
Many do believe however, that you are who your friends are. So I do question.
Also, the “connection” to this story and to Wright is obvious. It’s called race relations.

LOL...Better watch out, in case Mrs B-Land suddenly gets a hankering for a young black lad. Wouldn’t want to call it rape then, though I suppose something may be getting looted.
Not only does this have to do with current but future volitile race relations. Most of you seem to be blissfully unaware of the hatred blacks have for whites. We have bent over backwards to help them up and have have been careful not to say anything that would hurt their feelings.
You may also have been blissfully unaware that back in the 60’s as soon as integration began, there were groups of blacks in schools who reguarily intimidated the white kids. Black boys would push a white girl against a wall and imitate having sex with her. Nothing was done about this because white did not want to anger the blacks. This is the same game we continue to play today.
Steve would be familiar with this sort of thing I am sure.
My kids tell me that at the last day of school these blacks really cut loose with their intimidation and harrassment of the whites. Understand, that this sort of thing is the reason that all schools now have the police as a regular part of the school day.
Back to Obama. Are you unaware of the speculation on the win or lose situation for him? Do you think that if he loses that there will be riots like you have never seen?
Do you think he will stay alive long enough to sit in the Oval Office?
