Those of us that are people of faith, conservative, and believe in America can only hope that the polls are wrong as they have been so often in the past

I’m a person of faith, conservative and believe in America, and I really like the polls.  Do you really think that everyone else that doesn’t support your views and opinions obviously cannot be “of faith, conservative and believe in America”?  If so, this just puts the icing on the cake for me, my friend.  Now, more than ever, I’m convinced that Republican Conservatives need to be institutionalized.  And, the more and more I read your posts, the more and more I realize that most of the time, you’re full of crap.

You’re quite welcome.

You will see Obama’s numbers continue to rise as McCain’s attack dogs run around foaming at the mouth about Obama’s “associations”.

It has been a long time since a Republican campaign has been run so badly and made as many mistakes as this one has.  They can’t seem to get any traction on anything, and this latest attempt at character assassination is a pathetic last-ditch effort.

This “associations” attack is a sign of a campaign in desperation mode.

Let’s put it this way.

Over the past three elections, Florida has always been a swing state.  If CNN is calling Florida ALREADY?  Yes, Burt.  It’s going to be a landslide, barring anything else.

The demographics and values of Our country have changed. Those of us who have made this country great, and those of us who believe in America are either going to pull this country back from the brink of Socialism, or we are going down fighting with every ounce of our being. So, it’s not over yet, my friends. Ultimately, the TRUTH will prevail.

“Brink of socialism”, eh? Again, more dire, “the sky is falling” rhetoric. In the end, I think Obama will win simply because more people are thinking “let’s let a Democrat run the country for four years and see how he does. If it’s not good, we’ll just vote him out in ‘12’”. I think that’s what it will come down to. Don’t worry, wassup, the U.S. will not cease to exist with an Obama administration.

It’s interesting that you say that.  If you look at history, Bush Sr. only ran one term and when President Bill was elected, they said that about him too.  (Besides the fact that Bush Sr. raised taxes when he said “read my lips").

Regardless, Bill lasted two terms, his second term was not the big landslide victory like the first, but it still sent Bob Dole packing.

Nonetheless, from 1992 to 2000, Americans experienced more economic well being and more peace than any other time in American history.

In my opnion, many Americans are looking for that again out of Obama.

Oh But! BTDT haven’t you heard? It’s Bill Clinton’s fault! And if Bill didn’t screw up the 2008 economy, it had to be Jimmy Carter!

They can’t dodge taking responsibility anymore BTDT. This crisis is owned and operated by the Bush Adm. And brought into your living room in HD, by The Grand Old Party. BTW how many of the bad actors are in Jail at last count? AND! Why is Cheney, Rove and Rummy, still on the streets?Wazzy that question was for you.

Yeah, have you seen the markets this morning? They’re in free fall. Politically, the timing is perfect for the Obama campaign.

Helen Keller was a socialist...that doesn’t really pertain to this conversation, but it’s a little bit of FYI for you.

I just want it to be known that I am a Christian AND Pro-Choice (really, I think of myself as pro-prevention because I don’t think there are too many women out there who really want an abortion just to solidify their political tendencies).  Now that I’m out of parentheses. let’s talk about abortion...in case some of you don’t know, abortion has been around since apes evovled into humans (oops, did I just say something bad?).  Back in the stone age, there were ointments and tonics and all kinds of nasty stuff women could ingest to abort an unwanted child.  We are in a time that there are options before a pregnancy occurs, not the abstinence fairy tale, but real contraceptives that can work if used properly.  My hope is that education of our children (some kids are first experimenting at 12 and 13 years of age!) and affordable access to prevention for poverty level citizens will dramatically reduce the need for abortions.  What’s funny to me is the super-right conservatives like Palin who end up with a pregnant daughter.  Makes you wonder what kind of communication was going on before this happened....
I’ll get off of that tangent for now because I’m sure I’ll be getting some hateful things said back to me.
Aside from being a Pro-Choice Christian, I love America.  The current state of America - maybe not so much, but I love the potential we have as a nation to be a bright shining light of freedom and democracy in the world.  Unfortunately, we have entrusted a group of people who have no interest in bettering anything other than their own wallets.  So come on Right Wingers, you had your chance at bat and I must say the bar has been set pretty low for someone to come in and do better than the current administration.
