You just gotta love that George W Bush economy. In two weeks the economy will have fully imploded. GOP Cool Aid is free, my man.

Yeah, have you seen the markets this morning? They’re in free fall. Politically, the timing is perfect for the Obama campaign.

I agree with your last comment about the market’s continued fall. I find it very irritating that these politicians have now stuck us with the market in freefall AND a $700+ billion bail out. We’re getting it coming and going! They put an artificial and unnecessary timetable on the vote when the had more time to evaluate their options. There should have been more debate of the plan, and I’m voting against anyone on my ballot who voted for it.

Does that mean you aren’t voting McCain?

At that level I have not viable choice as both supported it. I’m talking about in the Congressional races.

Let me be clear though, both Democrats and Republicans are both responsible for the mess we are in. It is equally as clear that Obama and Obama’s supporters including the likes of Barney Frank, the former Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac senior executives who are now on his policy team, and that voter fraud group, ACORN, are the one’s who have benefited the most from this economic catastrophe.

If voters comprehended these facts, perhaps these polls would look differently today. It’ isn’t too late to turn back from this slide into Socialism, but it is going to take a concerted effort to educate voters for the trend to be reversed.

Wassup, you really need to get off this lame Socialist horse. The older folks who understand what socialism is are more concerned about their 401(k)s and retirement plans, the overall health of our capitalist economy, and their health-care, Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security benefits. McCain should scare the hell out of older voters.

The younger voters didn’t grow-up during McCarthyism and this Cold War mentality you are spouting about socialism sounds a lot like the arguments against communism. You are not scaring anyone. You are not turning any voters away from Obama with this tactic. Younger voters are not buying what you are selling.

I know McCain is not giving you much to work with. He has no good, positive ideas for America’s future. He has no economic plan except to cut taxes for the wealthy. He has no health-care plan except to funnel money to the giant insurance companies. He has no education plan. He has no realistic energy plan except to “drill here, drill now”. He has no plan to repair our relationships with our allies. He supports a failed policy in Iraq; he has dropped the ball in Afghanistan; and he has no plan to handle Iran aside from bombing them and getting us involved in yet another Middle Eastern war.

The best evidence for my assertions that McCain has nothing to run on is his campaign’s decision to go negative thirty-days out from the election. They are now employing a Rovian-style slash-and-burn character assassination on Senator Obama. This is what a campaign does when they have nothing decent of their own to run on. This is the sign of a campaign in it’s last throes of life. They are drawing their last breaths. They are all but finished.

They can tie Obama to Joseph Stalin, Adolph Hitler or Atilla the Hun. It won’t matter. Obama is going to be the next President of the United States of America. Get used to it.

President Obama. Say it, wassup, say it.

If I thought you actually spoke for anyone but yourself, I WOULD be more concerned, CD. As it is we have one candidate planning on doing the best that can be done under difficult circumstances, and another, OBAMA, promising everyone EVERYTHING, including appeasement to our enemies, and MASSIVE increases in spending and taxation, and doing so because he will say and do anything and everything to get elected. If America goes down that road, then they sure as hell will get what they deserve, but I’m not convinced that it will happen. Perhaps you have forgotten that thirty days ago the polls were even and some had McCain ahead.

What younger people are going to get with Obama is massive debts and an estimated doubling of their future tax rates, so if they facilitate his election they will get what they deserve. If older voters support him, they are going to get unfulfilled promises and tax increases, along with a President who represents ideologically everything they have fought against for so many years, wealth redistribution, appeasement for enemies who want to destroy America and it’s values, and yes, socialism. America IS on the verge of being destroyed, but not by enemies from outside our borders but FROM WITHIN.

Wassup - I try to remain neutral during the “my dad can beat up our dad” sessions but you’re going to have to help me with the homeless comment… are you implying the homeless are lesser Americans and don’t deserve to vote? Trust me, millions of Americans are one paycheck away from sharing in that same fate!  Does it strike you as the least bit odd seeing us throw a trillion dollars at wall st. while complaining of the audacity of the homeless exercising their constitutional right? For the record, what is the difference between pandering to the homeless, the environmentalist, the GLBT, anti-abortionist, the NRA, the religious right, conservatives or liberals?
most respectfully,
Zane

Correct me if I’m wrong, but Americans are being polled for these results.  Are you saying that they arn’t or shouldn’t be American?

That’s fairly pathetic sir.

My problem with it is that I question the motives of those who are rounding them up and taking them to the polls. They are Obama supporters and I can guarantee you that if Obama wins this election, they will not be rounding them up in 2012.

Concerns I have include: What are they receiving in return for going to the polls, sandwiches, a meal, what? What are they being told? What kind of identification is being required? How many times are they voting?

There are voting irregularities being reported in swing states across the country. ACORN is a big part of this, receives tax dollars from all Americans, not just Democrats, and has a history of having it’s workers accused, tried, and convicted of voter fraud.
