Re: FIRESTANHEATH.COM

Dear Doug,
I went today and tried to start the FIRESTANHEATH.COM web site only to find that the domain is already owned by an Arkansas Alum. Go figure!  I have sent an email to that person to see if he would be willing to transfer ownership to me.  I figured he would empathize with my situation.  I will certainly let you know when I have it up and running.
I am normally patient, especially when it comes to USF Sports, yet what I am seeing out there on the court is a poorly coached team. No fundamentals, discipline, or fire. These are all things that a coach is responsible for instilling in his kids. Do you think that this same group of players would be playing like that if they were being coached by Mike Krzyzewski or Billy Donovan?  We are loosing to sub par teams and are heading into arguably one of the toughest schedules of any team out there.  This team is getting led to slaughter!
I know that some would say that we need to wait for Stan to get players in and to develop the team, yet how many 4 and 5 star recruits was Stan able to bring in 2007/08?  ZERO!  Stan has proven time and time again that he is unable to recruit big time athletes, instead, he depends on transfers and lesser known players.  He is obviously not able to convince these kids that they will be coming into a winning program.  As fans, why should we even look at the scouting reports when we just know that the prospects are going elsewhere.
Fire Stan Heath now and save us all the pain!

Stan Heath has lost all control of his team.  Dissapointing losses to Niagra, UCF, Wright State, and Oral Roberts should spell the end of this coach.  How can we expect to compete in the Big East when we cant even beat teams from the Horizon Leauge?  A Big East team of any Merit should be blowing out these teams with their third String.

Here in tampa, we have come to know all of our sports teams to be a sucess at one time or another.  At any given time, they are at least competetive!  We can not settle on a failed program at our local University.  Stan Heath had his chance.  He Failed… Next!  I emplore Doug Woolard, the AD at USF to make an immediate change.

I would much rather be at the Sun Dome rooting on a winning Basketball team.  I would rather be on this board giving accolades to the USF Basketball Program and their coaching staff.  Unfortunately The product I see on the court is so bad that I cannot help from calling for the coaches head.

Attendance at the games this year will be at an all time low.  I know that I had planned on going to 10+ games and now I will not go to any.  Attendance numbers are very important to a school and an AD.  When they see record decline, they will be forced to act.  This is what was cited for Stans departure from Arkansas.

As for Stan Heath at Arkansas… Look at some of the Arkansas boards, which still exist, where they were calling for Stan to be fired.  It is amazing to me that you could just replace the word Arkansas with USF and the poster could be talking about Stan heath and the USF program in its current state.  No motivation, dicipline, etc.  Blew me away when I read them.  Shame on USF for pulling in a coach that could not perform at the highest levels.  Rectify this ASAP Doug Woolard!  Fire Stan Heath!

You heard it here first.  5-28 overall record and a 0-19 BE Record.  Will this leave any doubt that we need to FIRE STAN HEATH?

Ok we have proven that we can beat Depaul and perhaps can beat some of the basement dwellers like St. Johns, Rutgers, and Providence, yet how many of these teams will have the same coach next year?  So we are able to prove we are the best of the worst.  So what!

Fire Stan Heath!

I take it you feel that Stan Heath should be fired?

Yes… I feel he should have been fired upon his return from Puerto Rico.  Now that the season is over, I feel 110% that he should be let go!  There are allot of posters that want to give him 1 more year, yet he has had two and this team isn’t going anywhere.  It will take time to rebuild with another coach.  Lets get the process started.

Doug Wollard, The AD at USF, needs to rectify his mistake by letting Stan Heath go.  Bringing in a fired coach from another school is never the answer and this was a tremendous mistake!  Doug.  you are waisting the fans time if you give coach Heath another year.  Let’s make 2010 the year USF turns around.  Remove Heath!
